Office-using employment in Quebec shrank over Q1 2026, down 0.9% year over year as of February 2026 largely due to decreases in the information, culture and recreation sectors. The Greater Montréal Area (GMA) experienced a 50 basis point (bps) drop from last year to 17.0%, the lowest it has been since the middle of 2024. The GMA’s office market continued to observe Class A and transit-connected properties drive leasing activity.
